Navajo Mud Wrestling at 7,000'!

The objective: Install a wood stove into a home on the Navajo Reservation. The challenge: Getting the wood stove from the truck to the home during Navajo mud season. The solution: Woodstock Soapstone Stove Wranglers!

Yankee ingenuity was put to good use when confronted with the obstacles of mud season in the Southwest. Two of our Woodstock Soapstone Stove Wranglers were put into service, coming up with the idea of strapping the stove onto a New England sled made out of the top of the shipping crate which the stove was shipped in. Pulling the sled across the mud, over the ruts and through the puddles, our Wranglers made it work!

  1. It's a great project and service you folks are doing for the Navajo community. This one was above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks.
